Since 2010, in:review has been actively engaged by numerous member-directed pension scheme operators and IFAs, as their primary source of due diligence on alternative investments.

The alternative investment market is diverse and includes anything from real assets (such as property, fine wine or investment grade gold bullion) to hedge funds investing in listed financial instruments and unlisted securities. These underlying assets can be located in any jurisdiction and can be structured in a variety of ways.

In 2016 in:review launched its alternative finance directories, to allow investment investment professionals to search and compare peer-to-peer platforms, and platforms offering debt based securities and equity investments (crowdfunding platforms), build sample portfolios of their products, and access high quality due diligence on the platforms and their products.

Our website is therefore divided into two sections: our alternative investments directory and our alternative finance (“altfi”) directories.

The alternative investment directory is designed primarily for member-directed pension scheme operators, which request us to review non-standard assets to bolster their due diligence processes. Investment providers can commission a review of their investment by contacting us directly. All reviews commissioned by the investment provider are free to access by all registered users on in:review, including all of our member-directed pension scheme operator subscribers.

The alternative finance directories comprise the altfi platform directory and the altfi product directory. Both of these directories, including all reviews, are free to access for all users (advisers, member-directed pension scheme operators, HNW investors and other investment professionals).
